I am the founder of Frank Law Firm P.C., a Long Island-based law firm representing families and small businesses facing foreclosure, bankruptcy, debt-related issues, and commercial litigation throughout Nassau County, Suffolk County, and the greater New York City area. I have worked in foreclosure and bankruptcy law since my first legal job while attending St. John’s University School of Law. I entered these fields from the litigation side, handling matters where something had already gone wrong and legal action was necessary. That experience taught me not only how to resolve complex financial and legal problems, but also how to recognize warning signs, and prevent problems before they arise.
Throughout my career, I have approached foreclosure, bankruptcy, and financial disputes from nearly every perspective. I have represented mortgage investors, lenders, and servicers, as well as borrowers, homeowners, and businesses, in residential and commercial foreclosure proceedings, bankruptcy matters, and litigation in state and federal courts. I also served as a judicial law clerk to Justices Pam Jackman Brown and Denis J. Butler of the New York State Supreme Court, Queens County. These experiences have given me a comprehensive understanding of how creditors, borrowers, and courts evaluate legal disputes, what can reasonably be expected throughout the process, and how best to respond.
Today, my practice is particularly committed to helping families and small business owners navigate financial difficulties, mortgage foreclosure defense, Chapter 7 and Chapter 13 bankruptcy, debt disputes, and commercial litigation. I believe effective legal representation begins with understanding the client’s complete circumstances and, equally importantly, what they hope to accomplish. At Frank Law Firm P.C., we begin every new matter with a comprehensive assessment of the client’s legal and financial position, identify their goals, and establish a clear strategy with defined timelines. My goal is not simply to resolve the immediate legal issue, but address the broader problems that put them at risk in the first place.
I am a partner at Frank Law Firm P.C., where I focus my practice on commercial and residential real estate transactions, as well as business transactions, including the purchase and sale of businesses, throughout Long Island and the greater New York City area. While my legal career began in criminal prosecution, I believe the foundation of successfully preparing a criminal case and completing a real estate or business transaction is much the same: careful preparation, attention to detail, and consistent communication with the client. Whether preparing a case for trial or guiding a client through a real estate closing or business acquisition, my approach is to build the matter one step at a time, anticipate potential issues, and make sure my clients understand each stage of the process.
I graduated from St. John’s University School of Law and spent much of my early career as a prosecutor in New York, New Jersey, and Florida. At the Miami-Dade State Attorney’s Office, I rose to the position of Assistant Chief, where I supervised approximately 100 attorneys prosecuting misdemeanor and felony cases. I have extensive courtroom and jury trial experience, having also served at the Kings County District Attorney’s Office and the Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office. I also worked under the Honorable Thomas F. Scully in New Jersey and the Honorable Nelson Roman of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York.
My experience extends beyond the courtroom. I previously served as in-house counsel for a healthcare organization operating ambulatory and surgical centers across seven states. I also worked for a NASDAQ-listed company, where I supervised the issuance of hundreds of business loans. These experiences gave me a broader understanding of business operations, financing, and the importance of properly structuring transactions, which I bring to my representation of clients buying and selling businesses and commercial properties.
I joined Frank Law Firm P.C. as a partner in 2019. Outside of my practice, I helped establish an anti-bullying program at the Kings County District Attorney’s Office and lectured to New York City public school students about the effects of bullying. I also regularly teach continuing legal education courses through Marino Legal, focusing on professional responsibility and legal ethics.
I am an associate attorney at Frank Law Firm P.C., where I help individuals, families, and small business owners facing foreclosure, bankruptcy, debt problems, and real estate disputes throughout Nassau County, Suffolk County, and New York City. My practice focuses on Chapter 7 and Chapter 13 bankruptcy, foreclosure defense, and real estate and commercial litigation. I understand that these issues can be stressful and often affect much more than a client’s finances. They can put a family’s home, a business, or years of hard work at risk.
